As you might have heard, there’s a new game out now on Nintendo Switch. It’s about being confronted with obstacles and improvising ways around them based on the abilities you have and what’s available in the environment around you. We are, of course, talking about Cognitive Force’s roguelite Aura of Worlds.
By coincidence this game was released for Switch the same week a far more high-profile game with the same concepts came out, but that’s not its own fault. It actually beat Zelda to the punch by several months: on PC (where Zelda will never go). Aura of Worlds has been available in Steam Early Access form for a while; as of this week it hit Version 1.0 and became a full product.
Aura Of Worlds is a 2D roguelite from a side perspective that rewards improvisation. Each obstacle can be handled in one of several ways. Obstacles, treasure chests and enemies are not just hittable, but liftable, you can throw one against another, or it may be possible to avoid them altogether through parkour or even transforming the room. Whatever solution you can dream of will get you there.
Check out Aura of Worlds now on Switch and Steam. It’s 10% off on Switch and 15% off on Steam for the opening week only.
