April O’Neil is a Playable character  at Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl

April O’Neil is announced as a playable character for this brawler game starring Nickelodeon characters. She is announced along with CatDog. On This game, she can compete in a Battle royale against the likes of Spongebob, Sandy Cheeks, Nigel Thornberry, Lucy, etc.

April O’Neil is also a playable character on this game:

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge  is a 2d side scroller beat em up game. It has the appeal of 90s Nostalgia because companies rarely make games of these genre these days. TMNT is a franchise with an everlasting appeal so this game will do well. Hope they add Casey Jones as playable character or DLC.

April O’Neil is trending on Twitter as of the writing of this article. The Channel 6 News reporter  use to be a damsel in distress for the turtles to rescue but she evolved.  April’s evolution as a character  has been interesting throughout the years.   She experienced multiple kidnappings but the turtles are always there to save her.

April O’Neil eventually got some training from Master Splinter and even discovered she have powers.  Her boyfriend  Casey Jones also sparred with her during her training.

This Yellow Jumpsuit wearing reporter is now able to fend for herself. Since her debut in the 1980s, generations of children have had their versions of April O’Neil.  April uses her camera and microphone to attack enemies in both games. If the second Ninja Turtles movie didn’t fail, we could have seen Megan Fox kicking some butt.

This Tweet Summarizes her evolution as a character throughout the years.

Her 80s version is her most recognizable incarnation.  No Wonder is her version that is playable for both games.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is in 3d so it is possible to have alternative skins.
