Zombieland Double Tap – Road Trip Has Arrived On Consoles And PC
Zombieland 2: Double Tap is due out in theaters this Friday, and before you take a road trip to see it, consider taking a virtual one. Zombieland Double Tap: Road Trip, created by GameMill Entertainment, is a video game adaption of the events in the movie, and it is out today for consoles and PC.
We can’t tell you the full plot of this game, as it follows the movie’s plot and is going to contain spoilers. Fortunately the typical plot of a comedic zombie movie isn’t that deep, and translates to game form pretty well: get surrounded by hordes of zombies, then take them out in as outrageous a fashion as possible. The process repeats itself until you win or become overwhelmed.
Set after the events of the first movie, Zombieland: Double Tap – Road Trip is a ridiculously fun top-down twin-stick shooter featuring local co-op multiplayer for up to four players. Play as your favorite heroes from the original — Tallahassee, Columbus, Wichita and Little Rock — as well as new unlockable characters from the upcoming sequel.
Zombieland Double Tap – Road Trip will keep your thumbs busy with a story-based campaign mode, a wave-based horde mode, and ongoing daily and weekly challenges. Typically clearing a map will require one specific action, whether it’s “kill all the zombies,” “turn on the main power,” “find the Twinkies,” or in the below screenshot, “find a (clean…ish) public bathroom.”
Zombieland Double Tap – Road Trip is available now on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PC.
