One of the coolest things about a cinematic universe is the possibility of crossovers from various other films and characters that’s connected to it. This speaks especially to the comic book universes of Marvel and DC Comics. In fact, for Marvel, these crossovers were how the Avengers were basically formed. And for DC Comics, the crossovers played a larger part in bringing everything together for Justice League. Now though, Zachary Levi, who will play SHAZAM! in the upcoming film coming up next year wants a main Justice Leaguer to cameo in his film: Wonder Woman.
“I think getting a cameo from anybody would be super cool, but I just think Gal Gadot is so effervescent,” Levi said in an interview with ET. “She has such a charm. And she seems like a really cool broad. Like, she was in the Israeli army. She’s a mom. And I’m like, ‘You seem like you’re grounded and cool, and you’re Wonder Woman, and you rock.’”
Furthermore, he thinks it’d be funny to see Billy Batson interact with her:
“And I think it would be really funny to have the 14-year-old Billy Batson inside of Shazam that’s really awkward around this beautiful Amazonian. I just think that would be really awesome.”
How SHAZAM! fits into the DC Comics film universe is still a bit unclear, but given that at the end of Justice League Diana noted that there would be “room for more” at the table the League would sit at hints that he could be one of the new members. We’ll have to see!
