CD Projekt Red has revealed that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is now available as a digital pre-order for Xbox One at the Xbox Games Store. The game comes from the makers of Dear Esther and showcases the inhabitants of a remote English valley who are caught in a world-shattering event that is beyond human control or understanding; otherwise known as the biblical event that is the Rapture. Sad news gaming fans, beloved game developing studio 2K Australia is closing its doors. The studio was once a part of Irrational Games, and helped make the Bioshock series what it was. Then, it became its own entity, and helped make the wildly popular Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, now though, a full closing of the studio is taking place. As 2K itself confirmed:

Sometimes its hard to judge if a game does well or not in its lifetime. After all, what defines a success? Does everyone go for Call of Duty like numbers? Or Madden? Do developers just try and prove their game sold well enough to maybe go forward with a franchise? It’s these questions and more that can separate success from failure. For me, I’ve also thought it a matter of how long it takes for games to reach one million units sold. That’s a solid number and a solid goal given the number of gamers in our world today.

Easily one of the biggest announcements recently was about the return of Deus Ex, via a new title titled Mankind Divided. Also, Adam Jensen, the protagonist from Deus Ex: Human Revolution, was confirmed to be back, and the fans rejoiced.
Activision has announced the return of the Guitar Hero franchise. After a hiatus, the franchise is slated to return this fall with Guitar Hero Live. The franchise goes next-gen and will boast some new features, including live action, first-person gameplay and reactive crowds. Patience is not a virtue when it comes to gamers most of the time. Mainly because we want to play the next entry in our favorite series pretty much right after we beat the next game. But we can’t, so we impatiently bide our time until the next one arises.
