Is it possible for wrestling and horror to blend together? Someone’s sure going to try. Wild Eye Releasing is bringing you Wrestlemassacre on digital platforms next month.
Randy has a large belly, an immense beard, and an even larger appetite for a pro wrestling career. But he’s currently stuck in a dead-end job as a groundskeeper. He’d like to change this, but when he marches over to the wrestling league to try out, everyone only laughs at him.
And when he’s shamed at a local wrestling school, that’s the final straw. That’s when Randy snaps….he’ll make them all pay! There will be no kayfabe in these acts of violence…the punches, bodyslams and tossed chairs will be real!
Wrestlemassacre stars several actors who have worked in wrestling venues, including Richie Acevedo aka The Cuban Assassin, The WWE’s Tony Atlas, Julio Bana Fernandez (“House of Cards”), Jason John Beebe (Crossbreed) and Canadian pro wrestler Rene Dupree. The director is unlisted, but it’ll be out digitally June 16 from Wild Eye Releasing
The wrestling world bodyslams the horror genre in this June’s funnest fright-flick!
Randy is an awkward groundskeeper who is obsessed with professional wrestling. Longing for a sense of belonging with grandiose dreams of becoming a wrestling superstar, he is only met with abject humiliation. A brutal shaming at a local wrestling school pushes Randy over the edge and sets out on a blood soaked rampage to punish those who wronged him.
