Wonder Woman 2 Gets New Details
Despite all the upheaval and confusion surrounding the DC Comics Film Universe, there is three things that fans can be certain of, and one of them is that Wonder Woman 2 is coming next year, and many are already pumped for it. The first film broke down barriers in many ways and became the only (so far) universally praised DC Comics Film Universe title. And so with the confirmation of a sequel, many are already anticipating its release, and they’re eagerly waiting new details.
Well, two new details have come out, and it points to a villain arrival and a start of production. First up, ThatHashtagShow is reporting that Cheetah will indeed be the villain of the film. How she’ll be depicted in terms of looks and origins is still up in the air, but she is a character that many have wanted to see in live-action. Whether it’s true or not though remains to be seen.
Then, ComicBook.com got to chat with the producer of Wonder Woman 2, Charles Roven, who noted that production is set to begin this Summer.
“We’re in what I would call development of the screenplay.” Roven explained. “We finally, I think, have a good story to tell. Not kind of – we do believe we have a good story to tell. And then we’re also just moving out of what normally we would call soft prep into hard prep. We’re hoping to start shooting the movie sometime this summer, and hope to have it out by the end of ’19.”
The film is set to arrive on November 1st, 2019, so that seems to track. As we get closer to production, expect details to come in soon.
