The days are getting longer, the weather is getting warmer, and the bugs are getting numerous, but High Octane Pictures wants to give you a deep chill with their snow-themed horror flick, Winterskin.

A simple hike through the woods takes a turn for the worse when Billy Cavanaugh takes a curious peek inside an old log cabin — and is promptly shot in the leg. The old woman who lives in the cabin takes him in, and says he can stay with her for the next two weeks until his wound heals up. Also, she was the one who shot him.

But she says she had a valid reason: if he’d stayed out there any longer, he might have attracted the horrific skinless monster that roams around this forest! So she did him a big favor by….not simply shooing him away, and putting him in a position where the monster can easily get him….okay, it wasn’t that great a favor.

Winterskin stars David Lenik (Escape From Cannibal Farm), Rowena Bentley (The House Of Violent Desire), Barrington De La Roche, Peter Cosgrove, Kate Davies-Speak, John Lomas, Harrison Nash and Dylan Curtis. It was directed by Charlie Steeds for Dark Temple Films, and will be arriving May 21 on VOD platforms. Dress warmly.

Gunned down in the snowy wilderness and desperate for shelter, Billy Cavanagh is taken in by kooky old lady Agnes, unaware that her isolated log cabin is being stalked by a bloodthirsty skinless creature hellbent on getting inside.

From Dark Temple Films, and also starring Barrington De La Roche, Peter Cosgrove, Kate Davies-Speak, John Lomas, Harrison Nash and Dylan Curtis, Winterskin available May 21 on digital.
