Wii Sports Club Announced
The smash hit that made the Wii the biggest selling console of last generation comes to the Wii U with a shiny new coat of paint.
However, it isn’t just an HD update that enhances the original Wii Sports. It also adds support for Motion Plus, giving you the most detailed control of these games than ever before. The biggest update though is adding online support and being able to play Tennis or Golf against anyone the world over. You can also play matches in clubs based on geographical location.
Nintendo is trying out new types of delivery with it’s enhanced remake of it’s successful darling. The game will originally be available for free as a trial for all players, but in order to unlock each sport it’s $9.99. In addition you can order a 24 hour pass for every sport for $1.99 if you just wanted to get them all for a party in example.
Wii Sports Club will launch on the eShop on November 7th with only Tennis and Bowling originally available. So far there is no retail box version to be had, but we will keep you up to date on any changes.
While it seems like a pointless update at first, adding online to what is arguably some of the most compelling reasons for motion control makes it all the more attractive, with options to simply buy the one or two sports you actually play the most.
