Uncharted 4: Laura Bailey Officially Joins the Cast
According to a post by the PlayStation Blog, the 2015 PlayStation Experience will be hosting a panel for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. But that’s not all, the panel description confirmed that Laura Bailey (Avengers Assemble, Fullmetal Alchemist, Infamous Second Son) is officially part of the cast of the game (apparently doing both voice-over and motion capture work). Currently, her role in the game is unknown, but this is the first news that she was appearing in Uncharted 4.
The news was revealed in the announcement of the “Uncharted 4: Stories from the Performance Capture Set” presentation, which is set for Saturday, December 5 at 3PM PST at the PlayStation Experience. Naughty Dog Creative Director Neil Druckmann and members of the cast and crew of Uncharted 4 are going to discuss the process of bringing the characters of the game to life, along with some cinematic clips and behind-the-scenes videos from the game. Druckmann, Bailey, Nolan North (Nate Drake), Richard McGonagle (Sully), and Troy Baker (Sam Drake) will all be on hand for the panel, which will be moderated by Greg Miller.
There is an image at the above link showing Bailey performing a scene opposite North’s Drake. So whoever her characters is, she will interact with Drake at some point. Hopefully the panel will shed some light on her new character for the franchise. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End arrives in March 2016. It will be available exclusively for the PlayStation 4. The 2015 PlayStation Experience will run from December 5-6 in San Francisco, California.
