Ubisoft To Open Theme Park With Assassin's Creed and Rabbids Attractions
There’s been a growing trend of bringing video game properties to life in the form of theme park attractions. They started small, then Nintendo came out and unveiled that they would be going full scale into doing this, with games dedicated to Mario, Legend of Zelda, Pokemon and more.
Now, it appears that Ubisoft is getting into the theme park game. As they released a press statement that they were teaming up with RSG to create a “next-generation” theme park around their biggest video game properties Assassin’s Creed, Rabbids, and Just Dance.
Don’t hope to find it in a place near you though, the park is set for Malaysia, and won’t open until 2020. But hey, it’s the thought that counts right? Also though, it would be good geographically for a potential Far Cry ride!
“Together we are creating a place where every guest is a player, every ride is a playground, every visit is a game,” said Jean de Rivières, senior vice president, Ubisoft Motion Pictures. “In RSG, we’ve found a partner with a successful track record in working with international brands, a shared ambition to design the family destination of the future, and a wealth of expertise in theme park development.”
