Last October, the independent horror short Trust Me: A Witness Account Of The Goatman started playing in select theaters and film festivals. If you couldn’t be there. now’s your chance to see it — the movie has been released on ALTER, a YouTube channel that showcases the best new indie horror shorts.

It was supposed to be a romantic excursion into the woods, but the woman who followed an invitation from her boyfriend for some forested intimacy instead found a pulse-racing experience of a different kind. The legendary Goatman is lurking in the darkness, and her life is now in danger. But what are the exact circumstances here? Is her boyfriend working with the Goatman? Did her boyfriend get devoured by the Goatman or was her boyfriend the Goatman all along? Who do you trust in this story?

Trust Me was funded through Seed & Spark, a crowdfunding platform for filmmakers. It stars Alexandra Bayless and Luke Cook, was written by Leslie O’Neill, directed by Nate Ruegger, and produced by Darius Frye. Check out the full short below, and subscribe to the ALTER account for more of ’em.
