TNT Releases Description For June 14 Snowpiercer Episode
TNT’s Snowpiercer, based on the Bong Joon Ho movie, began its run last Sunday. At least three upcoming episodes have had their descriptions publicly released, with the third one being revealed just today. Here’s what to expect June 14…
SUNDAY, JUNE 14, AT 9:00PM ET/PT
“Justice Never Boarded”
Tensions between Third Class and First Class are boiling as Melanie (Jennifer Connelly) stages the trial of the Snowpiercer killer. Third Class threatens a work stoppage, demanding representation on the jury, and Melanie makes a fateful decision about which side to favor.
The two other synopses out there are from the May 24 episode (airing tomorrow) and the May 31 episode following.
SUNDAY, MAY 24, AT 9:00PM ET/PT
“Prepare to Brace”
Layton (Daveed Diggs) uses his new position as train detective to investigate the murder while gathering intel for the revolution on the side. Meanwhile, Melanie (Jennifer Connelly) faces a resource crisis, with potentially drastic consequences for the entire train.
SUNDAY, MAY 31, AT 9:00PM ET/PT
“Access Is Power”
Layton (Daveed Diggs) descends into Snowpiercer’s black market with Till (Mickey Sumner), searching for both the killer and a valuable commodity for his revolution. Melanie (Jennifer Connelly) stages a prize fight to distract the passengers from mounting class tension.
The premise of TNT’s Snowpiercer, just like the cult movie it’s based on, is that after a global natural disaster brings about a new Ice Age, the last remnants of humanity now survive on a perpetually running Noah’s Ark-like train. However, it remains to be seen how long they can survive each other.
The same social and economic problems that plague humanity today are still present in the future dystopia of Snowpiercer. The train cars are divided into class structures, and the main plot is of the lower class staging a revolt against the elites in the front car.
Snowpiercer airs new episodes Sunday nights on TNT.
