Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep revealed, dated and priced for Borderlands 2
In case you missed it, Gearbox Software has announced that the fourth and final narrative-driven DLC for its bandit-ridden FPS RPG Borderlands 2 will be Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep.
Yesterday, writer Anthony Burch Tweeted a picture of VP of Marketing Steve Gibson taking a crafty nap. Behind him was a promotional placard of the game’s unbalanced (and not racist) thirteen-year-old demolitions expert, which literally had Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep written all over it:
Burch promptly withdrew the Tweet once chatter began online, and later in the day Gearbox confirmed that Tina would be the star of Borderlands 2’s fourth campaign add-on.
IGN’s Andrew Goldfarb gave the following synopsis:
“The add-on revolves around a game of Bunkers & Badasses – Pandora’s version of Dungeons & Dragons – led by Tiny Tina. Original Vault Hunters Brick, Mordecai and Lilith are gathered around a table playing through Bunkers & Badasses and you are a character in their game. You’ll experience their game as part of Borderlands 2 with Tina serving as dungeon master, narrating the action as it happens and even changing boss attributes, location details, character names and much more on the fly.”
Sounds pretty cool, huh?
Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep will be available on June 25th, for $9.99 on the PlayStation Store and Steam (EU pricing TBC) and 800 Microsoft Points on Xbox 360. Borderlands 2 season pass holders will get the content at no additional cost. Want to see the trailer teased at PAX East? Oh, go on then, as it’s Friday…
