Three Returning Actors Confirmed For Final Flash Season
Times are changing. The once-mighty Arrowverse couldn’t last forever, and what remains of it — one last 13-episode season of The Flash — will complete its run in 2023. Today we learned when Flash will return as well as who might be on this last season.
A new press release boasted of three special guests, though none are new. One is the return of Keiynan Lonsdale as Wally West, AKA Kid Flash. ““Kid Flash isn’t just another speedster — he’s a beloved part of our Team Flash family,” says current showrunner Eric Wallace. “So as soon as we knew he was coming back, we set out to create a special and heartfelt story for his return. The result is a brilliant performance from Keiynan that showcases a side of Wally West you’ve never seen before.”
The second guest is the return of a minor villain from Season 6 you probably forgot about: Sendhil Ramamurthy as Ramsey Rosso, AKA Bloodwork. He didn’t set the show on fire the first time, there was no fanbase clamoring for more Bloodwork, so why’s he here again? Only Wallace knows, but he’s not telling.
And the third guest star is….not really what we’d call a guest star but the show is declaring him as such anyway. It’s John Diggle again (David Ramsey). After Diggle made one appearance on every CW Arrowverse show last year, he doesn’t feel that special.
Come on, guys….this is the end of an era. You know what guests we REALLY want. Pull in people from other shows! Get Benoist on the phone! Do some actual work! We have a dread feeling Flash is going to botch this and that the entire Arrowverse will end with a big whimper. We want to be wrong, but the quality of recent seasons doesn’t pose a good sign for this one. The Flash’s final season begins February 8.
