The Witcher Season 3: Final Trailer (We Think)
Geralt, Yennefer and Ciri are coming back this month…and it definitely won’t be for the last time. The Witcher has been renewed into infinity by Netflix, even if its lead actor won’t be sticking around for nearly that long.
When we last left out heroes, they were finally united with one goal: protect Princess Ciri, Geralt’s adopted daughter and the center of everything going on in their world. The Witcher still seeks a safe place where Ciri can train, but that is beginning to look impossible. The kingdoms are at war, the races are at conflict, and they all want her power. On top of this Geralt is still a Witcher and he’s gotta slay monsters for profit — something Ciri seemingly gets involved in if what the trailer cuts imply are true.
This will be the final season with Henry Cavill as Geralt. Liam Hemsworth is replacing him for Season 4, and it remains to be seen if that will be a disaster or not. Even if it is, Netflix just committed to a fifth season not too long ago, so they’re stuck with him!
Five episodes of The Witcher Season 3 will be delivered June 29; then you’ll have to wait a month for the remaining three to appear on July 27. Much as they did with Stranger Things at this time last year, Netflix is dragging one of their most popular shows out as long as they can without releasing it one week at a time (c’mon, everyone else does it, why not you?)
