CD Projekt Red and Microsoft have released over eight minutes of new footage for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The latest video for the highly anticipated sequel is available below. Just to be clear, while the video was released on the Xbox YouTube channel, the in game footage was captured on a PC.
The “Precious Cargo” video features a quest from the prologue section from The Witcher 3. Witcher Geralt of Rivia assists a merchant in retrieving a mysterious box from the swamp lands. The video once again shows off the game’s outstanding visuals and graphics and even gives a sample of a horse chase and combat on horseback. Geralt soon realizes that the merchant’s claims are not the whole truth. The footage does a great job of showing the grey and morally ambiguous world that Geralt of Rivia operates in, with alliances and regimes in power constantly shifting. There is also a look at some of the alternative choices and paths you can take for certain side quests and missions. In the video, while Geralt turns the merchant in, it looks like he can choose to let him go as well.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt finally launches on May 19. The game will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
