The Secret of Sinchanee Comes To VOD October 8
What’s The Secret of Sinchanee? We’ll find out when Vertical Entertainment releases the upcoming indie thriller later this month on digital platforms.
The protagonist of this one drives a tow truck for a living and can’t seem to fall asleep lately. Could it be related to the recent demise of his father, or something deeper? To search for answers he returns to the abandoned house his parents once lived in. You’ll never guess — it was built on ancient, sacred burial land and there’s an angry presence within haunting the place. The movie was produced, directed and stars Stweven Grahym, with former NFL player Nate Boyer (“Mayans M.C”), Tamara Austin (“The Walking Dead”), Laila Lockhart Kraner (“Gabby’s Dollhouse”), Jacob Schick (American Sniper, A Star Is Born), and Rudy Reyes (“Generation Kill”) co-starring.
“This is a deeply personal film that tackles incredibly challenging themes of xenophobia, childhood trauma, and mental health issues, testing the confines of the horror/thriller genre,” says Grayhm. Newcomb adds, “Steven is one of the most exciting emerging filmmakers: both as an original storyteller and a producing partner committed to diversity and veteran empowerment. Sinchanee is shockingly beautiful and absolutely terrifying!”
The Secret of Sinchanee will be out on Apple TV, Amazon Prime Video, Vudu, Comcast, Spectrum, Cox and other digital platforms starting October 8.
An industrial tow truck driver suffering from insomnia returns to his childhood home after the untimely death of his father, to discover that a paranormal presence has been living in the house and haunting the sacred land it was built on.
