The Little Mermaid is coming to Theaters this May 26
The Little Mermaid release is the second teaser and it shows clues about what the final product will look like. It is first aired at the Super Bowl and an hour ago it got uploaded on YouTube. As usual Halle Bailey’s voice is glory for the ears and that’s one of the reasons why she got the role. People who are mad about “Ginger Deletion” for the sake of diversity can calm down because Ariel remains a Ginger. Red hair might be more common to Caucasians but Red Haired Black and Asian People exist.
Five months ago, Disney released the First Teaser and it got 27,229,002 views and the reaction of people is polarizing. Some are happy because of the diversity and inclusion as many black girls can see themselves being a Disney Princess. Then there are purist fans who want Ariel to remain white and ginger. The first teaser trailer has 3.4 Million dislikes vs. 1.2 Million likes.
Kudos to Halle Bailey for not letting the hate bother her. People who hate this casting should stop harassing the actress. If you want your White Ginger Ariel you can always watch a 1980s animated movie or some European adaptation. The Little Mermaid is Public Domain so you can always make a version if you have the funds.
The Little Mermaid teaser trailer 2
The New Teaser lets us see that Ariel’s tail has a red streak at the bottom instead of just plain green. Rather than having the iconic Shell bras, Ariel has scales covering her chest Area instead.
The trailer showed us a first look at Ariel’s sisters. They may have different mothers because of having ethnicities. We get a glimpse of Jonah Hauer-King as Prince Eric and they are about to kiss. The Teaser ended with a few-second shot of the main antagonist, Ursula who is played by Melissa Mccarthy. The Little Mermaid is coming to Theaters this May 26. Ariel will be a Part of your World.
