The Inhumans: Iron Fist Producer Joins Show
Marvel Entertainment has confirmed the new showrunner for the upcoming Marvel’s The Inhumans TV series. That showrunner will be Scott Buck, who is currently working on launching Marvel’s upcoming Netflix show, Iron Fist. This will mark Buck’s second show as the creative figurehead for a Marvel Cinematic Universe series.
Buck will serve as the executive producer for the upcoming show, which will explore the epic adventure of Black Bolt and the royal family of Inhumans. He will definitely have his work cut out for him because The Inhumans is slated for a fall 2017 launch. That seems to be a pretty quick turnaround time to prep and get this show launched, unless Marvel and ABC decide to push it back.
The plan is to premiere the first two episodes for the show in IMAX commercial theaters, and this will be the first time a live-action TV series debuts in this format. The show is being produced by ABC Studios and will be filmed entirely with IMAX digital cameras. The first two episodes will then run worldwide exclusively in IMAX for two weeks at the start of September 2017.
After the theatrical premiere, ABC will then air the weekly series in the fall, and additional exclusive content will only be shown on the network.
