The Falconeer Takes Off On Switch And Playstation
The Falconeer, Tomas Sala’s third-person air combat game for XBox and PC, will soon escape those platforms to be enjoyed across all modern consoles. Versions of the game for Switch and Playstation are in the works, and should launch this August.
Riding a giant warbird, you engage in epic shooting battles above oceanic landscapes that may remind you of Panzer Dragoon (but unlike that game, this one is more of a free-roaming experience). The Falconeer: Warrior Edition, as it’s called, will contain all the extra content introduced to the XBox version since its release, as well as a new content pack called Edge of the World.
“I’m so pleased that over 500,000 players are exploring the world of The Great Ursee on Xbox and PC, and I’m really looking forward to seeing Nintendo Switch players, as well as PlayStation players, dive into the world of The Falconeer,” said creator Sala in a released statement. “We’ve loved working with Tomas in recent years, and we’re ecstatic to bring this BAFTA nominated game to new audiences on both PlayStation and Nintendo Switch,” said Leo Zullo of Wired Productions, who is publishing the game. “Given Tomas’ pedigree in delivering performant games, players will be delighted with resolution and frame rate for both platforms, creating an unbelievably immersive experience.”
There will be a physical version of the game sold in stores…the PS4 and PS5 versions will cost $29.99 while the Switch version will carry the usual Switch Tax at $34.99. f you get the PS4 version, you’ll receive a free upgrade to the PS5 version. The Falconeer: Warrior Edition will be out for Switch and Playstation on August 5.
