Tennessee Senator: Video Games Bigger Threat Than Guns
Another United States Senator is voicing his concerns that is the threat of video games. Republican Tennessee Senator Lamar Alexander spoke to MSNBC’s The Daily Rundown saying that video games are a bigger threat than guns.
I think video games is a bigger problem than guns. Because video games affect people. But the First Amendment limits what we can do about video games and the Second Amendment to the constitution limits what we can do about guns.
Senator Lamar Alexander is the latest to join the ever increasing number of politicians who are viewing video games as one of the most detrimental form of media to engage children while congress is in the midst of debating over bill H.R. 287.

An even BIGGER threat than either guns or games is my junk. Lamar here really should focus on passing laws to limit the size of my junk.

This just in, Taylor’s Junk, an as yet unidentified weapon of mass destruction, was said to be in the hands of terrorists. What these terrorists plan to do with the junk is unknown, but we do know they are handling it.
Let us pray that it does not blow up in their faces.

It’s a bio-weapon. No one is safe.

this guy is a moron. Why focus on only one part of the violent media. banning video games would solve nothing for us as a society. If you want to solve something you should ban all violent media including violent; sports(ufc and football), movies and music. but at the very least they should ban the “how-to-torture” guides/movies.
Honestly if there were to be any legal bill in congress/senate against video games, the real reason for is just to fuck up the american economy.
The sad truth is that war and violence is part of who we are and it has been this way for thousands of years.

Since we climbed out of the primordial muck we’ve been inventing new ways to kill each other. Rocks, swords, guns, nukes; it’ll never end. We are just a few steps away from utter chaos and rampant murder, protected by a thin layer of moral compasses and paper thin laws.
The only thing that stops me from going to work and going on a bitch slap rampage on all the stupid people at my job is coming home and unwinding with video games. Ironic that.

You can take human beings out of the jungle, but you can’t take the jungle out of human beings.

The senator is right. Too long have video games corrupted our youth, filling their brain with thoughts of violence, rage and murder. Why, just the other day I saw a youth jump on a turtle and kick it into some bricks trying to extoll coins from it.
Do not get me started on the vicious attacks on lovable goombas, just walking there all innocent and WHAM. Violence.
I mean, guns, they just fire high velocity projectiles that can kill with a simple pull of the trigger. BUT GAMES? Man games are the real threat. Pretty soon all our children will be growing mustaches and whoring themselves out to painting games. THE HORROR!!!
