Tekken Tag Tournament 2 update due in October, includes free content
I’ve been keeping a beady eye on Katsuhiro Harada’s Twitter feed since publishing my opinion piece criticising Tekken Tag Tournament 2’s difficultly. Thus far, I’ve seen no evidence to suggest that Namco Bandai’s esteemed beat ‘em up producer intends to issue a patch quashing my beef towards TTT2’s Arcade mode. But (and that’s a big but), he has announced that a title update is in the pipeline – said to bring with it a few delicious treats.
As the screen capture below proves, Harada tweeted that the game will benefit from a few extra characters and stages, online enhancements and new customisation features on October 9th, presumably across all territories and platforms.
Last week we reported that a leaked copy of the tag team-oriented fighter had its disc data mined, unearthing code pertaining to six unannounced characters: Miharu Hirano, Doctor Boskonovitch, Slim Bob, Sebastian, Violet and Unknown. Could they be the characters Harada talks of here?
Hopefully so!
UPDATE (Sept 20th, 2012): With reference to the opening paragraph of this post, Harada has at last realised that the difficultly of TTT2′s Acrade mode needs to be rebalanced. Click here for the update, which can be found at the foot of my original opinion piece.
