Target To Be Home To The Jigglypuff Amiibo
Two of the big problems with Amiibo’s are thus. One, there never seems to be enough to go around, thus people are buying them in bulk then selling them for large sums of cash on Ebay. And two, sometimes Amiibo’s are sold in a singular store, instead of being spread around for all to get.
One of the upcoming Wave 4 of Amiibo is about to get the same treatment. Jigglypuff will be coming to Target, and only Target. But there’s a twist, the Amiibo will only be available online, and not in stores. So to get one, you’ll have to pre-order it now, and it’ll ship to you “sometime” before May 29th, when the rest of the wave arrives.
This is a very curious move from Nintendo, as they know quite well about the shortages and why certain Amiibo’s are very hard to find. Are they simply trying to consolidate where you can buy the Amiibo so they can restock supply more easily? Or is this just a marketing ploy to ensure that the Jigglypuff Amiibo’s sell out near instantly? Time will tell, and we’ll definitely keep an eye out for this and other Amiibo news as we draw closer to the Wave 4 launch.
