Dead Island 2 will be available this April 21. Fans waited for 12 years to play this sequel because of the developmental hell it goes through, but the long wait is over. During the early trailers of this sequel, fans thought it was unrelated to the first game. The First Dead Island is set on a resort in Papua New Guinea called Banoi. This sequel is set in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California. Sam B. One of the protagonists of the original game made a return in this sequel, but he won’t be playable. He may act more as a mentor for the playable characters.
The Walking Dead is finally coming to an end this weekend…well, sort of. There are plenty of spinoffs that will keep the brand alive, and some of them include characters from the original series. But if you want to make your own story, TWD will give you a “Game Master” divider screen and let you do that too.
Dead Island 2 having a new trailer is something I never expected. I thought this highly anticipated sequel was now shovel ware. The last time I saw a trailer for this sequel was in 2014. The cast of Stranger Things is not yet taller than me during those times.
The zombie survival game DayZ has received a new update this week. QoL improvements, more craftable items and the return of a fan favorite event are the highlights.
AMC is currently running what they promise will be the final season of The Walking Dead….but they said nothing about spinoffs! The main series may not get the ratings it did last decade, but the brand still has value, which means it must be milked dry. And the latest milking therof focuses on Negan and Maggie in Isle of the Dead (Oh yeah, spoiler alert: they survive to the end of the current series).
World War Z is coming back…kind of. It’s largely the same game, but it’s headed to a new platform (Nintendo Switch) with the Deluxe Edition that will contain all the content previously released on PS4 and XBox One. So finally, Switch can stand equally with its contemporaries, right?

Next February, IDW will present Chained To The Grave, a supernatural Western tale written by Brian Level (Darth Vader, Thanos, Deadpool) and Andy Eschenbach (Heavy Metal Magazine, Red Shoes) with art by Kate Sherron (Invader Zim, The Amazing World of Gumball). But you don’t have to wait that long to see how it starts…IDW has provided us with a preview of the first five pages in the book.
The Walking Dead is credited with launching a zombie craze in popular culture throughout the 2010s, and was the most popular show on cable for several years. Even though the show isn’t as fresh as it used to be, AMC still considers it the star brand of the network, and has boasted as recently as last year that they could see it going on forever. Apparently they changed their minds (or the people who thought so were fired)…an end date was just announced for the post-apocalyptic series.
Thanks to a real apocalypse, AMC has been forced to program a schedule that, for the first time in years, cannot lean on The Walking Dead or its many spinoffs. It’s been rough for ’em. Looks like those days are coming to a close, though…the network announced return dates for the three TWD shows.
Created by Drop Dead Studios, Outbreak: Epidemic is the fourth release in the Outbreak series, following Lost Hope, The Nightmare Chronicles and The New Nightmare. It’s a series of third-person over-the-shoulder games reminiscent of the original Resident Evil, set in shadowy locales full of monsters.
