Rare has been teasing that they have been working on multiple projects for months now and during the pre-e3 all spike access they announced that Kinect sports rival will be hitting the Xbox One this Holiday season.
Yesterday, we posted a snippet of a leaked trailer from Ubisoft Montreal’s forthcoming stealth-based action-adventure Watch Dogs, releasing on current and next generation consoles and PC later this year. We are now pleased to bring you said trailer in full, entitled ‘Exposed’. For the uninformed: Watch Dogs puts players in the shoes of anti-hero Aiden Pearce, a skilled hacker who can manipulate technology and devices tied to Chicago’s central operating system (ctOS). Not much is currently known about the game’s plot, but Pearce can use his ‘gift’ to retrieve bank data and steal funds, trigger malfunctions in equipment to distract other characters, and hack traffic lights to cause collisions. Pearce can also receive information on civilians via augmented reality feeds, providing the player with information on demographics, health and potential behaviour of the city’s inhabitants. It’s shaping up to be one heck of a game. Trailer time…
Microsoft understands that achievements are a major highlight of their service, which is why they have hinted at offering gamers even more gamerpoints for watching shows, movies and even advertisements. But offering such achievements would only dilute and possibly destroy the impact that it has on their customer base. The one aspect keeping Xbox users from switching over to the PlayStation is the loss of their identity. Aside from factors such as friends and exclusive games, Xbox users do not want to lose their gamerscore which represents seniority and self-worth within their gaming community. This achievement system may seem menial to the average person, but it truly stimulates the reward system within the brains of Xbox users. Achievements prove that you have been to hell and back in a game and survived to tell the tale. If Sony wants to transition loyal Xbox customers over to the PlayStation, then they need to start targeting this feeling of accomplishment and identity. In order to win the console war once and for
The trailer for Watch Dogs that was suppose to be presented at this year’s E3 has been leaked ahead of time. The trailer does appear to be incomplete, so standby for the full one.

After weeks of speculation and rumors, Microsoft has finally clarified their stand regarding used games on the Xbox One. In a post on Xbox Wire, Microsoft has gone into detail about how game licensing will work with the Xbox One.
Konami kicked off their pre-E3 show today, and as expected the new voice actor for Naked Snake has been announced. The new voice of Naked Snake will be none other than Keifer Southerland. You may remember him as the actor who played Jack Bauer in the television series 24. Hideo Kojima explained that the reasoning behind the decision was he wanted a voice that sounded older than that of original voice actor David Hayter. In the video that follows, he expands on this: “The game takes place in 1984 when Snake is 49 years old. Therefore, we needed someone who could genuinely convey both the facial and vocal qualities of a man in his late 40s. It’s different from anything we’ve done before.” httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xOuD1hxSS-I&feature=youtu.be Can’t say I’m happy since David Hayter isn’t voicing snake this time around, but I guess we’ll see how it plays out.
Microsoft spent an hour trying to explain why everyone should be rushing out to buy their newest console. Although the end result of their conference left everyone wanting more, it painted a stark future for the second hand game market. The second hand games industry has thrived throughout this console generation. But because publishers and developers don’t see a single cent from this market, they came up with ways to discourage it. EA spent this entire generation trying to convince people not to do so with their online passes and even they have recently given up all hopes on that idea. And now it seems seems that Microsoft have a ‘solution’ to this problem as well, a solution which will be integrated into the Xbox One. In a statement to Wired, Microsoft stated that the Xbox One will require all games to be installed onto the HDD to be played and that each disc will be uniquely bound to the Xbox Live account who first associates with it. So what
After what most people would classify as a disaster of an announcement, where Microsoft did not mention a single thing about gaming for the Xbox One; now it appears as though Microsoft’s next-gen console will be region locked as well. In a statement sent to Digital Trends, a Microsoft spokesperson said “Similar to the movie and music industry, games must meet country-specific regulatory guidelines before they are cleared for sale.” He then added “We will continue to work with our partners to follow these guidelines with Xbox One.” This should not come as a surprise however, as most Xbox 360 games were region locked, bear in mind though, that it is the publishers that have a large say on whether or not a game is region locked. Rivals Nintendo have also enforced region locking on their hardware with, Wii, Wii U, and 3DS, but the Nintendo DS was region free. Sony have yet to make an announcement on whether or not the PlayStation 4 will include region locking, although the PlayStation 3 and Vita were
For longer than we can remember, there has been much debate about whether or not a dinosaur mode will ever feature in a Battlefield game. Swedish developer Digital Illusions Creative Entertainment AB (or DICE) certainly enjoyed dropping various hints in Battlefield 3… So what should we make of this new finding – HyperText Markup Language (HTML) extracted from Battlelog that contains an unquestionable nod to our primordial predecessors?
Long running boxing series, Fight Night has been put on hold due to EA Canada focusing all of their attention on the upcoming UFC game. Head of EA Sports, Andrew Wilson said it was because the team behind Fight Night had refocused towards the recently acquired rights to the UFC. In an interview with IGN, Wilson had said “Right now, a great portion of the core of the Fight Night team are actually the team that are building UFC.” He then went on to add that the main reason behind EA putting so much focus on the UFC is due to its ever growing international popularity, whereas boxing is not as loved as it used to be. As for the future of the boxing series, Wilson said “Do I see a future for Fight Night? You know, sure. But right now, UFC is where our fighting focus is.” Fight Night Champions was the last game in the series to be released by EA, which was back in 2011. EA had announced earlier in the
