She must use her magical abilities to restore the land to its former glory after a monster turns the world into a ruined wasteland. The artistic design in Okami is heavily influenced by Japanese water coloring and the wood carving art in the Ukiyo-e style. The game was originally released to the Playstation 2 in 2006 and to the Wii in 2008, both to critical acclaim.
