Watch Dogs Breaks Numerous Sales Records
Watch Dogs has broken a number of sales records since its release last week. Ubisoft revealed that the title had become the publisher’s biggest selling ever in terms of first day sales, toppling Assassin’s Creed III. Gamasutra also reported that Watch Dogs had also become the fastest-selling new IP in the UK market. A position that was previously held by L.A. Noire. Speaking on the official Ubisoft blog, Creative Director Jonathan Morin said: “I once said that the buzz around Watch Dogs was driven by the incredible passion of our early fans. Today we broke the record for the biggest first day sales in Ubisoft history. I can never say it enough: thank you everyone! We love you all for your passion and your creativity.” Despite a sense of disappointment amongst some critics and fans, Watch Dogs is easily the most successful next generation title to be released so far.
