Warrior, the kung-fu action series inspired by the filmography of Bruce Lee, has returned for a third season, though not where it began. The series started as a Cinemax original, and the first two seasons debuted there, but in January of 2020 Cinemax halted all original programming development and Warrior was left hanging. HBO Max picked it up for a third season, and all this time and one company name change later, it finally premiered yesterday in its new home along with the previous two seasons.
Warrior, the TV series that’s part crime drama, part martial arts action spectacle, will return on HBO Max (or just “Max”) a month from now, the streamer announced today. “Wait a minute,” you might be saying, “I don’t remember two seasons of a show called Warrior appearing on HBO Max.”
During the late 1980s, the World Wrestling Federation had a Superstar whose fame and popularity reached supernova levels… then quickly faded away He was born James Hellwig, but in reality was a warrior – in fact, he was the Ultimate Warrior. Fans of a certain age will remember Vince McMahon screaming “THE ULLLLLTIMATE WARRIOR” in his famous growl.
