Free League’s Vaesen RPG will be expanding soon with The Lost Mountain Saga, an adventure book that was actually written by a fan. Ellinor DiLorenzo, a writer and filmmaker in New York City. ran a popular podcast where she invented her own narrative within Vaesen. Imagine if you made your own adventures for a mass-market tabletop RPG and its publisher liked those adventures so much they made it into a legitimate product. Despite the odds against them, Free League managed to get many games out there in 2020, and found success with some. An expansion set, Destroyer Of Worlds, was released along with a Starter Set in the spring. A virtual tabletop version of the Starter Set was added to the VTT platforms Roll20 and Fantasy Grounds in October, and a second expansion was announced earlier this month.
