Sony has been trying to get a movie based on Naughty Dog’s Uncharted series of video games off the ground for some time now. The series, an Indiana Jones riff starring a cocky treasure-seeking hero, would seem to be more adaptable as a motion picture than other video games which get this treatment. You’d think, at least. But the Uncharted movie does not have a single shot filmed to this day.
According to Variety, David O. Russell has been replaced by director Neil Burger who recently directed the movie “Limitless”. This could possible be a good sign, as the previous director, David, had a completely different story from the Uncharted universe. This resulted in fans back lashing at the ideas of having a family type of movie and introducing tons of new character not scene in Uncharted games. Let us know what you think about the director change and if it was a good idea.
