We’ve all been there: You’ve got the urge to play your favorite tabletop roleplaying game. You want the thrill of telling a great story, tossing some dice, and making instant memories. The only problem: your gaming group’s on hiatus, or you’re travelling for a work trip, or – in today’s pandemic world of self-isolation – you’re not able to meet with friends. The only option before was to simply pine over our lost hobby and dream if the good ol’ days. But now, there’s hope: A light that shines at the end of this proverbial tunnel: The Radiance Adventure Engine.
The Wicked Ones TTRPG by Bandit Camp Games is a new tabletop roleplaying game being funded on Kickstarter along with its new expansion, Undead Awakening. In both books, Player Characters play as monsters building a dungeon together and slaying adventurers – it’s heavily inspired by the PC game Dungeon Keeper. Both games are currently on Kickstarter in a high-quality print run of the successful 2019 Kickstarter of the original (digital-only) Wicked Ones campaign.
And in the End of the Third Age of Man, A Free League forges a new One Ring…
Remember MORK BORG? It was Free League’s love letter to metal culture in the form of a tabletop game that took place in a gnarly occult world. The game was released early in 2020 and, despite the obstacles you’d think would keep it from selling, weathered the pandemic enough to make a sequel possible. Which brings us to CY_BORG!
Yet another Free League RPG is now playable on the Foundry virtual tabletop….Coriolis: The Third Horizon.
Tales From The Loop was such a success for Free League, they’re doing it again, only this time slightly differently. The Tales From The Loop Board Game will be set in the same world as the roleplaying game, only with different rules and more physical props.
We’ve entered the home stretch for How To RPG With Your Cat, a quirky new tabletop experience from Oddfish Games that allows your pet to become part of the game. With less than 48 hours to go, Oddfish has so far raised $11,000 (out of a initial goal of $3000). So far, backers have unlocked the additions of cat confetti, character sheet bookmarks and a foldable D20 paper cat toy. If the campaign can make it to $15,000, they’ll throw in a bumper sticker.

We write about tabletop game maker Free League a lot around these parts, and based on what they just announced, we don’t expect to stop anytime soon. They’ve acquired the Blade Runner license, which is basically printing money even if the game is bad (but that probably won’t be the case).
Oddfish Games has officially launched the Kickstarter for How To RPG With Your Cat, a new solution to an old problem. Cats tend to disrupt tabletop gaming sessions with their demands for attention and their mistaking of small figures for edible bugs. So…what if there was a tabletop RPG where the POINT was for the cat to get involved?
Does your cat keep trying to get in on game night? Don’t stop them. How to RPG with Your Cat is a new Tabletop RPG on Kickstarter that makes your actual cat the star of your TTRPG.
As of today, there’s one more virtual tabletop (VTT) service you can play Vaesen and Symbaroum on. Free League has announced they’ve released versions of these two games that work on Foundry.
