Total War: Three Kingdoms, the latest installment in Sega’s hit historical strategy series, gets a slice of new content next month. Today Sega released a description of its plot, and the official trailer.
Rome: Total War, one of the most highly acclaimed entries in the long-running strategy series, is coming to iPad for the very first time. An announcement trailer was released for the game, along with information that the port will be handled by Feral Interactive rather than the original developers Creative Assembly.
It’s natural for a franchise to always want to improve as time goes on and advancements in technology arise. But for some, it’s just hard to pinpoint how big to go. For the Total War franchise, it’s never had a problem with scale per se, but it has been a while since a new title has come out. But now, with the upcoming Total War: Warhammer, not only are they going to try and go bigger and better, they’re going fantastical.
The next instalment in the Total War series it set to be a first for Creative Assembly, with the game focusing on the time of Attila the Hun. In a press release today the developers announced that the new title, Total War: Attila, would be set after Rome has fallen and is due to hit store shelves sometime in 2015.

That’s right, the makers of the Total War series have stated that they are making their next Total War game. Their previous title, Total War: Shogun 2 has tremendous success along with every other title in the franchise. Creative Assembly’s Studio Director, Tim Heaton said in a Eurogamer interview that they were finishing Total War: Shogun, “Absolutely, we’re on the next.”
