Toki Returns On Nintendo Switch
The arcade game Toki was originally released as a standup cabinet in 1989. You played as a jungle man (think legally safe Tarzan knockoff) who had been transformed into an ape by an evil sorcerer. Said sorcerer also made off with his Jane knockoff, so his mission is twofold: rescue her, and get his human body back. Whether he succeeded back in the day depended on how many quarters you had. But soon no amount of expendable cash will stand between the now literal ape-man and his true love, assuming the player has the cash to buy the entire game itself. Toki is being remade for Nintendo Switch by developer Microids, with crisp redrawn graphics and a new soundtrack. Toki will come in two versions: the standard version with just the game, and a Retrollector Edition (their made-up word) featuring all these things: The boxed version of the game A mini arcade machine stand for your Nintendo Switch™! An exclusive 16-page Toki comic book, with an original story illustrated by
