The Witcher Battle Arena Launch Trailer and Details Released
The Witcher 3: Wild is still several months away. However, players can still get a taste of The Witcher universe with a new mobile game release that is out now. CD Projekt Red and Fuero Games have released a new launch trailer to celebrate the global release of The Witcher Battle Arena mobile game.
The Witcher Battle Arena is a new multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game that was designed and is available exclusively for smartphones and tablets. The game pits two three-hero teams against each other. The winner looks to capture and hold conquest points for the battles. The game also features characters and races from across The Witcher mythology including sorceresses and dwarves. According to CD Projekt Red, the game features a “fair, player-friendly monetization system.” So the game does not feature any pay to win elements. Every item and functionality for teh game can be unlocked through gameplay.
The launch version of the game features two available maps: the Nilfgaardian Arena; and the Korath Desert. The game has nine playable heroes all taken from The Witcher mythology. Playable characters include: witcher Geralt of Rivia; elven rebel Iorveth; and the sorceress Philippa Eilhart.
The games is now available for Android and iOS devices at Google Play and iTunes. The game looks to be a nice appetizer until the main entree that is The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is released later this year. The game will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC on May 19.
