The Venture Bros Movie Will Air On Adult Swim September 1
Late last month the twenty-year saga of The Venture Bros finally reached some kind of conclusion with the release of the full-length DTV movie, a two hour adventure subtitled Radiant Is the Blood of the Baboon Heart. Right now, it can only be seen on disc. But that will soon change: Adult Swim just announced it’s giving the film a proper airing a little over three weeks from now. The venture of The Venture Bros was handled entirely by two people: Doc Hammer and Jackson Publick (stage names), who wrote and directed nearly all of the 82 episodes that aired sporadically throughout the 15 years the show was in production. It’s regarded as one of the best programs Adult Swim ever produced as well as one of the best animated series period. I myself haven’t seen the movie yet, because Amazon won’t deliver my copy until the middle of August (yes, I preordered prior to release like everyone else).
