This coming Sunday on Adult Swim, a new episode of Rick and Morty will be followed by two of the latest cartoons to join the Williams Street library. The Shivering Truth will premiere at midnight, and JJ Villiard’s Fairy Tales will follow at 12:15. First, Vernon Chatman’s The Shivering Truth returns for a second season. Though it’s not entirely serious, the series is a legitimate attempt to get under the viewer’s skin and plant the seeds of nightmares before bedtime. It’s an anthology series featuring the most surreal, disturbing imagery possible with the art of stop-motion.
