The Nursery Comes To DVD

Indie horror film The Nursery is getting the royal treatment on DVD soon, thanks to Uncork’d Entertainment. The film has already been available on VOD platforms since June 5, but this will be its first time on physical media. The DVD was announced along with the VOD release months ago, but at the time we didn’t know what was in it. Turns out, quite a bit. This is not just a simple dump job — it has a full audio commentary, making-of segments and more. The Nursery’s executive producers, Glenn Chung, Chris Micklos, and Jay Sapiro, released a joint statement in response to the news: “To get a full-blown DVD release of The Nursery is incredibly exciting. We wanted to give our fans some fun and interesting extras that would get them behind the scenes of The Nursery and give them a sense of what this journey has been like for us as first-time filmmakers. Beware The Nursery This June

Uncork’d Entertainment is readying their next horror feature, The Nursery, for release next month on VOD. It’s well known by now that babysitters are common targets for serial killers, ghosts and demons. The profession vastly underpays for what is required. When Ranae, a college student babysits for a family with a tragic history, she finds herself stalked by a sinister presence and haunted by ghosts from her own past. Soon, she and her friends must confront the angry, evil spirit hunting them down one-by-one on a deliberate march towards its ultimate prey. The Nursery stars Emmaline Friederichs, Madeline Conway, and Carly Rae James Sauer, and was directed by Christopher A. Micklos and Jay Sapiro. The Nursery Lands Distribution Deal

The indie horror film The Nursery has officially signed a distribution deal with Uncork’d Entertainment and will see wide release sometime in 2018, likely late spring or early summer. The film follows a college sophomore who encounters bizarre supernatural phenomena while babysitting for a family with a tragic history. The ghost stalking her won’t go away until she and her friends can find a way to defeat it. “Uncork’d is very excited to pick up The Nursery and get it out there for horror fans to see,” said Keith Leopard, President of Uncork’d Entertainment. “It’s a great, old school style horror flick that genre fans are really going to enjoy.” Executive Producers Glenn Chung, Chris Micklos, and Jay Sapiro said in a joint statement, “Uncork’d is a terrific horror distributor with an outstanding reputation, and we are excited that they will be helping us get the film out there and build on our already robust fan following.” Other films that Uncork’d has picked up for 2018 distribution include include Matt
