Kylo Ren and Snoke’s Relationship Gets Darker In The Last Jedi
Star Wars: The Force Awakens brought a lot of new characters into the fold. Two of which were Dark Side followers Kylo Ren and Supreme Leader Snoke. In the film, we found out that Kylo Ren was Snoke’s padawan of sorts, even noting at the end of the film that Ren had to return to him to “finish his training.” But, it appears that in The Last Jedi, they won’t exactly be on good terms. “His training of Kylo Ren is not yielding what he wants,” Snoke voice actor Andy Serkis explained to Entertainment Weekly. “Therefore his anger towards Kylo Ren is intensified because he can’t bear weakness in others. Part of the manipulation is goading him with Hux and playing them off against each other.” He also elaborated on what hatred of weakness exists: “The thing about Snoke is that he is extremely strong with the Force, the dark side of the Force,” Serkis explained. “He’s terribly powerful, of course. But he is also a very vulnerable and wounded character.
