Game Kitchen Announces Blasphemous Sequel

About two years ago Spanish-based developer The Game Kitchen released Blasphemous, a fast-paced action platformer where you played as The Penitent One, an armored soldier with a spiky sword and an even spikier helmet. Cvstodia, the realm where this guy lives, fell under a dark curse referred to as only The Miracle, and the only way to lift it was for The Penitent One to put the smack down on every invading demon in the vicinity. But his problems aren’t over yet! It seems The Penitent One’s services will be needed once more, as The Game Kitchen has just announced a Blaphemous sequel, due out in…..ooh, 2023. Blasphemous is a fast-paced, hard-as-nails action platformer that was released to consoles and PC in 2019. Team17 and The Game Kitchen’s Blasphemous, best described as the 2D version of Dark Souls, suddenly has a lot more content. A free DLC update, The Stir Of Dawn, is available now on all platforms that adds a new storyline branch, more bosses, a new map system, a Spanish audio option and lots more.
