Ubisoft has announced a partnership with Lightstorm Entertainment and Fox Interactive to create a cutting-edge new game for consoles and PC set on Pandora, the dangerous moon from James Cameron’s Avatar film franchise. Massive Entertainment is leading the game’s development. Massive is behind the creation of Tom Clancy’s The Division, which last spring broke multiple records in the games industry, including the record for the industry’s best-selling new game franchise in an opening week. They are now working on a new AAA-project based on Avatar, the highest-grossing film of all time. Four sequels to Avatar are currently in development, and Lightstorm, Fox Interactive and Massive are working together to create a game that, along with the films, will continue to expand and deepen in the Avatar universe in exciting and innovative ways. Ubisoft announced the latest details of Last Stand, the third expansion for Tom Clancy’s The Division, as well as of its upcoming Update 1.6. Both pieces of downloadable content will be available simultaneously and will release on Xbox One, Windows PC and Sony PlayStation 4. Ubisoft released a new trailer this week for Tom Clancy’s The Division. The Survival DLC Update: Expansion 2 is set to arrive soon. You can check out the new video, featuring new footage, for Update 1.4 in the player below. In Expansion II: Survival, the SHD agents are in a bit of a pickle. They’ve run out of supplies during a harsh winter in Manhattan. They will now have to survive in a very hostile environment. With the agents not having any gear, wounded and now freezing to death, they now have to fight for survival in one of the harshest environments imaginable. The agents also have to get some sort of extraction from the chaos. It should be interesting to see how this new update improves the overall player experience, and if this will solve some of the game’s pressing issues. Ubisoft is serious about making Tom Clancy’s The Division into a major Hollywood movie. According to the official Ubisoft Blog,The Division movie is in the works under the Ubisoft Motion Pictures banner. However, not only that, the film is set to star actress Jessica Chastain and Jake Gyllenhaal. Previously, it was announced that Gyllenhaal would star in and produce the film, but Chastain joining the cast is interesting news. Ubisoft’s blog indicates that both Chastain and Gyllenhaal will be a part of the development process for the film through their production companies Freckle Films and Nine Stories. Ubisoft is promising that the the world of The Division is filled with “countless stories of love, loss, treachery, and heroism.” However, moviegoers will  “have to wait to find out what avenues the film will explore.” The Division definitely has a strong premise to be translated into the movie. Though leaked by a report earlier in the month, Ubisoft confirmed today during the Microsoft Press Conference that the first DLC pack for The Division, titled Underground, would release on Xbox One June 28th. This is the first of three expansions set to hit this year. With another to potentially release this summer, and the final one to like be released before the end of the year. For many though, the question is whether the DLC will launch without many hitches or bugs, as that has been a problem that has plagued The Division since launch despite numerous patches from Ubisoft. Despite having strong sales numbers upon release, reportedly the biggest opening in Ubisoft history, The Division has been making news for its bugs that don’t seem to be getting any smaller. Players have been losing game data, the Daily Missions keep dropping out, and much, much, more. Even the recent 1.1 update was bug filled, leaving many to wonder what Ubisoft is doing. During a livestream, community developer Yannick Banchereau said that 1.1’s troubled release was down to the studio’s pre-release checks: “There was testing,” he explained, “but obviously the process was not good enough because there are some bugs that made it through that shouldn’t have.” “The processes have been updated and we want to make sure 1.2 is really tested correctly and there are no obvious things that are making it through, so that’s the reason why, so far, we’re not giving any dates [on its release]” Fellow community developer, Hamish Bode explained that that testing is ongoing: “It’s currently in the testing phase,” he revealed, “and obviously

The Division's Next Incursion Event Revealed

The Division’s upcoming update, titled Conflicts, will feature many new additions and features. According to The Express, one such feature will be the next Incursion map called the Broken Circle. This Incursion requires a much higher level to take on, as players will need to be at least 220 bracket rank in order to attempt this Incursion. The official description reads: “Go head to head with the Rikers and disable their SAM system to secure the Manhattan airspace.” The Broken Circle has apparently already been added to the map, and it’ll be close to the Dark Zone which will be “reinvigorated” by the upcoming update, if not an upcoming one. The Division hasn’t had a good track record as of late, as each update brings with it as many errors and bugs as much as content for gamers. It looks like players who are enjoying the closed beta for The Division are going to get the opportunity to enjoy it a little longer. Ubisoft has announced on the official community forums for The Division that the Closed Beta is being extended for an extra 24 hours this. As a result of the extension, the beta, which began on January 28, will now end on Tuesday, February 2 instead of Monday. The Closed Beta for The Division will now remain open until Tuesday, February 2 at 12:00 pm CET, 6:00 am EST and 3:00 am PST. Ubisoft is working to invite as many players as possible for the Closed Beta since a lot of gamers registered for the waitlist and have been eagerly waiting for a chance to check out the game. As such, a closed beta is underway to test out the games main mechanics and how it works on both a singleplayer and multiplayer level. This will apparently include not only regular updates, but also three different expansion packs.
