Jessica Jones Showrunner Melissa Rosenberg Leaving The Series
Melissa Rosenberg helped make Jessica Jones a streaming superstar, but now the hard-drinking herculean PI will have to do without her. Rosenberg — who served as showrunner for the first two seasons and is finishing her work on the third — just signed a massive deal with Warner Bros Television and is leaving Netflix entirely. If you were offered the kind of deal WB gave Rosenberg, you’d leave too. It’s a multi-year contract offering Rosenberg executive control over multiple shows, with a yearly salary in the millions. WB hasn’t said exactly what Rosenberg is meant to be in charge of, but we’re guessing it has to do with a future streaming venture.
