The Ninja Turtles Meet Street Fighter In Upcoming Comic
The Ninja Turtles were making it big in video games around the same time that Street Fighter was, but the two properties never crossed over even though a blended game could have been easy money. This is most likely because Street Fighter is from Capcom and the video game rights to Ninja Turtles belonged to Konami, two rival companies. It took 30 years and a comic book business that goes by three letters to finally arrange a meeting between the two. IDW just announced Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Vs. Street Fighter, a five-issue series written by Paul Allor with art by Ariel Medel. It’s the latest in a series of crossovers IDW has arranged between the Turtles and other IPs. The situation is that the Turtles are attracted to Atlantic City when a major martial arts tournament is announced. Once they enter, they find their opponents are Ryu, Guile, Chun-Li and the others. They kick each other around for a while, until a larger problem arises that requires them to
