“I Survived Bear Grylls” is a reality competition where ordinary people will try to test their survival skills(or lack thereof). They’ll simulate Bear Grylls’ past adventures inspired by watching him on TV. Despite not being trained like Grylls, contestants will attempt challenging stunts with safety. These challenges are still far from easy, but they allow participants to break even some of Bear Grylls’ records.
All Elite Wrestling, or AEW for short, is a newcomer to the pro wrestling scene, but one that has found success on a level that previous challengers to WWE and WCW haven’t. The franchise started in 2018 when Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) broke from wrestling promotion Ring of Honor to hold their own independent wrestling event, which they dubbed (at the time) All In. It attracted attention and other wrestlers, and they decided to make a go of it by officially founding AEW.
WarnerMedia owns TNT, TBS and HBO, and this spring, they’re teaming up to deliver a bounty of on-demand movies for sci-fi lovers. They sent us the list this morning….here are the movies you can currently get on-demand that fall in the sci-fi genre.
YouTube’s venture into original scripted programming didn’t last very long, but it surprisingly generated one buzzworthy show by the name of Cobra Kai. This series was originally pitched to TBS, who turned it down. Now that Cobra Kai creators Jon Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg and Josh Heald have proven their worth, however, the Turner-owned network is all too eager to backpedal. They’ve sold their second series, Obliterated, to the network.
Horror anthologies are the hip new trend in cable, from Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story to SyFy’s new creepypasta adaption series Channel Zero. The Lifetime network will also be getting one soon, A Midsummer’s Nightmare. It would seem now we’ve reached the “parody” stage of the phenomenon, because now TBS wants to put on “Nightmare Time,” a spoof of the genre brought to us by Aubrey Plaza.
