There Are More Forbidden Lands To Explore
Free League released Forbidden Lands in 2018. It was a new twist on tabletop RPG conventions, focusing more on survival in an open world. You aren’t given a specific mission to save the world or slay Specified Monster X, you’re a raider simply hunting and gathering to live. This makes the game truly unpredictable, for you never know what’s around the next hill. Now it’s even harder to know, as Free League introduces two expansions for Forbidden Lands. First is the Book of Beasts, described as “a bestiary you can play.” The book adds 28 new monsters to the game, includes legends about each monster, and introduces the option to harvest resources from slain beasts. The players’ Lore skills can be used to gain insight into a monster’s strengths and weaknesses.
