There are certain games that many believe don’t need a sequel, or for developers, it’d be incredibly hard to top the first game. Many gamers enjoyed Super Meat Boy, the game by Team Meat that impressed with hundreds of levels and incredibly difficult gameplay. It was great, and the developers knew it and promptly told the world that Super Meat Boy 2 wouldn’t be happening. That was five years ago, and things change in that amount of time. Speaking to Game Informer, Team Meat’s Edmund McMillen and Tommy Refenes noted that they do have some inspiration to make Super Meat Boy 2, which came from making their upcoming mobile runner game, Super Meat Boy Forever.
