A Tour Of Stranger Things’ Starcourt Mall

One of the most breathtaking Hollywood sets in recent memory is the Starcourt Mall set built for Stranger Things Season 3. Those who weren’t around for the golden age of malls may not feel the same way, but this mall looks GORGEOUS and I instantly wanted to go there, browse the vintage shops, waste time at the arcade, get some bad food, watch Tonya Harding skate — uhh, never mind, that one was specific to my mall. Many of the shops in Starcourt no longer exist, and the ones that do exist have changed drastically from their 80s look and feel. It’s massively unfair that Netflix never allowed the general public to tour this fake mall off-hours. But there’s a close facsimile. The website Retail World has posted a gallery of screenshots taken by those who managed to sneak onto the set. There are even a couple of videos. The Power Of Stranger Things Is Bringing Back New Coke

There’s a new teaser for Stranger Things Season 3 out…..sort of. It’s actually more of a commercial for Coca-Cola. The third season takes place during the summer of 1985, and if you’ve been paying attention to the REALLY important stuff in history class, you know that was the time when Coke made the biggest blunder of its entire existence. With Pepsi eating into its market share, and sales of Diet Coke (introduced three years earlier) rising, the execs at Coke came to the conclusion that their classic formula needed to be updated. Both Diet Coke and Pepsi contained a sweeter taste than traditional Coke did, so the thought was that if they made Coke just as sweet, it would regain the customers it had lost. So in ’85 Coca-Cola was retired and “New Coke” was brought out with massive fanfare. It was rejected immediately upon arrival, with customers weirded out by the different taste and angry they couldn’t purchase the original version anymore. Sales of Coke plummeted and the company

T Minus Six Months Until Stranger Things Season 3

We now know when Netflix will disgorge Stranger Things Season 3 from their dimension: July 4, 2019. “But I’ll be busy lighting illegal fireworks then!” you might say. Actually, if you can stay up until midnight on the evening of July 3, that won’t be a problem. The announcement comes with a new trailer, appropriately New Years themed. It’s a local Hawkins broadcast of Dick Clark’s New Years Rockin’ Eve 1985. They get terrible reception in Hawkins, mainly due to the secret government signals interfering with Ms. Byers’ rabbit ears. Stranger Things: Watch The Season 3 Teaser

Stranger Things is the one Netflix show you can feel safe in assuming will not be cancelled on a cliffhanger (unless Netflix themselves goes belly-up). Today the streaming giant released their first teaser for Season 3. We’ll just tell you right now, it contains no actual clips, so don’t go in expecting any. Instead it reveals all the titles of the eight planned episodes. Season 2 was teased in a similar manner. For the record, here are the eight titles: Suzie, Do You Copy? The Mall Rats The Case Of The Missing Lifeguard The Sauna Test The Source The Birthday The Bite The Battle Of Starcourt Subject to change. Not all of the titles revealed in the original Season 2 teaser made it to the final product. Also, nobody named “Suzie” has been revealed yet.
