How many River City games can one fall season possibly have? River City Girls made a lot of noise, but then River City Melee Mach!! came out a month later, and now we’re hearing about a third game using the brand that’s about to show up. The full title is Stay Cool, Kobayashi-San!: A River City Ransom Story, and it’s coming to all platforms early next month. Stay Cool, Kobayashi-San! is described as a time-traveling beat’em up set in the Kunio-kun (River City) universe. As Masao Kobayashi, your goal is to stop an evil organization by beating up as many of their members as possible. Kouki Mizoguchi (a boy from the future) and River City’s Kunio are here to help you. Kunio-kun is a long-running series in Japan, not all the titles have crossed the shores, and perhaps they aren’t as surprised as us about getting three in one year.
