Are We Getting A Star Wars: KOTOR Movie?
A bit of surprising news was broken by Buzzfeed today….turns out Disney and Lucasfilm are considering making the 2003 XBox classic Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic into an actual canon movie. Star Wars: KOTOR revolves around a very ancient Jedi vs. Sith conflict that took place about 4,000 years before the events of the nine-movie saga we know. The game’s story is a favorite among Star Wars aficionados, but we never dreamed somebody would attempt to turn it into an actual film. Laeta Kalogridis, who wrote the script for Shutter Island among other things, is writing the screenplay, intended to be the first in a trilogy of KOTOR-based movies. Neither Disney nor Lucasfilm would comment to Buzzfeed to back this up, and neither have formally announced the project.
