Spider-man: Across the Spider-verse
Spiderman: Across the Spider-Verse is the long awaited sequel for the 2018 hit, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. In my own theory, I believe the sucesss of the first film is the reason why Spider-man: No way Home got greenlit. If the Covid 19 Pandemic hadn’t occurred, we could have watched this movie in April 2022. Jessica Drew, The Spider-Woman, has her race switched, which could trigger another Culture War with the comics community. Be prepared for a torrent of criticism from the comicgate community on Twitter and YouTube. Also they use the story arc where Jessica Drew is pregnant. That comic storyline is hated by many fans and they are using it on this movie. The casual fanbase is now getting accustomed to the concept of the multiverse. When Miles Morales originally emerged in Ultimate comics decades ago, some thought he wouldn’t work well in a movie.
